Much like Internet Explorer and Firefox, Qualtrax has a Favorites feature that gives users quick access to their frequently used folders, documents and websites. There are three types of Favorites.
| • | Personal Favorites: Unique to each account. Any logged in user may configure his or her Personal Favorites, regardless of personnel permissions. |
| • | Group Favorites: Usable by all members of a personnel group. Only a user who belongs to that group and has the required permissions can modify Group Favorites. See the Qualtrax 4.1 Administrator Manual for more information. |
| • | Company Favorites: Usable by all users of and visitors to your Qualtrax server, including logged out users. Only users with the required permissions can add to or edit Company Favorites. See the Qualtrax 4.1 Administrator Manual for more information. |
Most users are permitted to change only their Personal Favorites. To learn how to add items from your Qualtrax server, see Add Qualtrax Documents and Folders below. For external websites and instructions on editing and removing personal Favorites, see Favorites Administration.
Open Favorites
| 1. | Point to Favorites in the Left Navigation Menu, mouse over arrow buttons, and click to open the desired document, website, or folder. Your personal Favorites are listed in the first level of the Favorites menu, while company Favorites have their own section, and group Favorites are subdivided by the personnel groups you belong to. |

| 2. | Depending on Favorites Administration settings, each Favorite opens either in a separate web browser window or in the View Frame of the page you're currently viewing. If the Favorite is a folder, the Browse Tree opens to that location, as shown below. |

Add Document and Folder Favorites
Because links to items on your server require a special URL format that may be difficult to enter manually, it is recommended that you add internal Favorites from the Browse Tree. Simply right click a document or folder and select Add to Personal Favorites. Your selection becomes available as a Personal Favorite the next time you refresh your screen.
