The Security tab in Document Properties displays the groups and/or individuals that are allowed to view and/or edit the document. General users will see this information in read-only format as shown below:
In the above scenario, a user would only be able to edit this particular document if they are a member of the Engineers group who has both view and edit permission for this document. That does not give the Engineers group permission to change these settings unless they also have been assigned the Alter Security permission in Qualtrax.
